In the centuries past, the folk artist traveled to small, rural areas and gave to country people an art distinctly their own. He captured the family likeness with a simplicity that made his work affordable, yet personal, by depicting their interests and events of their daily lives.
My respect and love of these paintings has led me to one of my greatest inspirations. I try to capture a bit of history by recreating the feel of the folk artist of the past. Each piece is a labor of love and comes from my heart. Whether recreating a portrait from the past or creating a new memory from a photo from the present, my aim is to bring alive an era of yesteryear and capture the innocence and simplicity of days gone by.

All original portraits in frame measure 15" x 18" . Giclee prints are stretched canvas with no staples and look remarkably like the original. They measure 11" by 14" and come signed and dated, unframed with sides painted black.
