Greetings, my friend! It is my pleasure to have you visit with me in my Wildberry Cottage! I hope that we can get better acquainted as you browse to your heart's content!
I would like to share a little bit about myself and give you a better idea of who the girl is, beyond the gate at Wildberry Gatherings.
I truly do live in Wildberry Cottage, surrounded by seven acres of the most beautiful country. Nestled in a quiet, coastal town in the gorgeous state of Maine, I am blessed to be surrounded on all sides, by Balsam Fir Trees, Wild Blueberry fields and meadows of Beach Roses and Black Eyed Susans. Every day, I am awed to be able to draw inspiration from the unlimited array of wildlife that calls this land it's home...the Red Squirrel, Porcupine, White tailed Deer..the Chickadee and Goldfinch..the Red Fox and Wild Turkey. These too, are my friends.
I have been a folk artist, specializing in Primitives for over 20 years. My work has been featured in international catalogs and displayed in the finest Primitive shops all over New England. One of the most thrilling moments for me was to have some of my designs purchased for the films, "Into the West" and "The Hope and Glory"! Recently, I have also begun to paint designs with more of a vintage appeal and have found it exciting to be able to express myself in a different genre.
I am a woman of faith, committed to finding peace and joy in the ordinary and my creations reflect my love of simple things and times gone by. I have often thought I belonged in another era..one closer to the age when life was innocent, child like and sweet. My artwork is a varied collection of these dreams and through them, I hope to evoke memories of our wonderful heritage. Sometimes I find myself with a needle in hand and at other times, a paintbrush. I am blessed to sit in my studio, overlooking a myriad of White Birch and Pine and can let my dreams flow and creativity wander. I hope you will walk with me and discover what treasures lie behind each window pane in my little cottage. I share with you from my heart, welcome you to my home with hopes that we will share many joys together and be lasting friends!
Be Blessed!
